Dior Gateway to India – A tribute to Indian Crafts

  Dior hosted a landmark runway show in Mumbai on Thursday, a move nodding both to India's long-standing role in manufacturing European high fashion and the growing power of its luxury consumers. With the historic Gateway of India monument acting as a backdrop, the French label presented its Pre-Fall 2023 collection to a star-studded crowd including Bollywood icons Rekha, Sonam Kapoor and Anushka Sharma, as well as model Cara Delevingne and actor Maisie Williams.   Teej Festival is well known in the entire world as it only celebrated in Jaipur. Married Women pray Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati to live a happy married life with their husband. Two French engineers at Villa 243

 Hello, Bonjour, Namaste ! We are here for new adventures. As you all know I am doing an internship at Dwarka Jewel company.  I met two others French students -- both engineers -- from Lyon and Rennes. We shared our experience so far about living in India and what it's like to work abroad. Yesterday we hang out at Villa 243, a wonderful Boutique - Hotel which design is a fusion of style. A lot of tourists and foreigners come to feel the Zen ambiance of this place. The hotel is well located in Jaipur.  Rami and Aurelien  are two polytechnics engineers. They came in Jaipur to do an internship in their field. One of them Rami will work at the Manufacture of Dwarka Jewel. His tasks will be mostly the optimization of the material.  We took some pictures of the evening night at Villa 243. See you for the next adventure guys ! Bisous, Ines.

Fêtes des couleurs en Inde

  Chaque année, Holi est fêtée partout en Inde, du Nord au Sud, ainsi que par les communautés indiennes à l’étranger. Cette fête religieuse hindoue, qui marque la fin de l’hiver et le début du printemps, est célébrée au cours de la pleine lune du mois de Phâlguna (février-mars). Le jour de Holi, tout le monde se jette des poudres et de l’eau colorées dessus. Holi a lieu le 8 mars. Alors préparez-vous.  L’origine de la fête Comme de nombreuses célébrations en Inde, Holi tire son origine de la mythologie hindoue. La légende raconte que le roi Hiranyakashipu régnait en despote, semant le trouble autour de lui. Fier et arrogant, il exigeait que tout le monde se prosterne à ses pieds. Malheureusement pour lui, son propre fils Prahlad lui préférait le dieu Vishnull. Hiranyakashipu voulut alors se débarrasser de son fils. Il essaya plusieurs fois de le tuer mais en vain. Il demanda alors de l’aide à sa sœur Holika, qui avait le don particulier de ne pas craindre le feu. Le roi défia son fils
